My name is Benas Cepaitis. I'm 17 years old.

You can find some of my personal projects on this website. I'm looking into majoring in philosophy. Other than that, I like making music.

This website was created on March 7th, 2026. It's pretty bare-bones and I don't plan to update it often, but we'll see.

The tabs are fairly self-explanatory. This page contains information about me and the website. The gallery contains some of my photos. The notes tab features some quotes and insights. "Reading" is where I have my reading list and stuff I'm currently reading. The music tab is for leaving my thoughts on various songs and albums. Q&A

Are you religious?

No. Maybe I wish I was. Would make for some cool lore. Christian theology is interesting.

Does God exist?

No clue.

Do moral facts exist?

Probably.

Does the empirical world exist?

Yup.

Can we know the empirical world?

Nope. That's why my philosophical project is transcendental.

Are you a skepticist?

Kind of. I try to systematically doubt every single belief. I am a skeptic, to say the least.

Who was your introduction to philosophy?

Ayn Rand. I was intrigued by her philosophy for a while. Ultimately I found Objectivism to be naive, but I respect it for what it is. That is to say, it's wrong, but it's not without merit.

Best virtues?

Humility. Honesty. Reciprocity. Liberty. Productivity. Empathy. Rationality. Stuff that should be fairly intuitive. Aristotle is good to read for this.

Favorite philosopher?

At the moment, Immanuel Kant. I haven't read nearly enough to make a "greatest influences" list.

Why learn philosophy?

To find out what makes things worthwhile. That's probably the most honest answer. Some people don't seem to need it for that, though...

Do you debate?

I try not to. I generally think dialogue is more productive.
